Ground Hog Day

Ground Hog day started in the 16th century from a Pennsylvania Dutch belief that if a groundhog emerges from its burrow and sees its shadow, it will retreat to its den and winter will last 6 more weeks. If he does not see his shadow, spring will arrive early.
