St. Joseph Early Learning Center adheres by the following security rules:
Parents and visitors may be required to display identification upon entering facility.
All enrolled children and their siblings must be within reach of their parents until they leave the Center's premises.
All children shall be signed in upon arrival each day, and signed out as they leave each day by an authorized adult.
If your child is sick and will not be attending, please contact the Center.
Parents must submit a WRITTEN permission slip to change the listing of the person/persons authorized to pick up their child from the Center. Absolutely NO phone calls changing the designated person to pick up will be accepted under any circumstances. An email will be acceptable as long as the email address matches the one we have on file.
Identification will be required by anyone attempting to pick up a child and who is not the child's legal guardian.
If a person listed in your child's file as "Unauthorized to Pick Up" attempts to do so, staff members will use the following procedure:
Ask person to go to the Center's office
Call parent(s)
Call 911
Take the child as far away from the person attempting to pick up as possible
If the person attempting to pick up a child is a legal parent or guardian, we are required to release the child unless we have a copy of a court order stating otherwise.
