Instruction in Sign Language is offered to all children within their regular instruction at St. Joseph Catholic Early Learning Center. The main goal of this program is to build a stronger communication bond between children and teachers through a better understanding of the children's needs and likes. The program focuses on the introduction of basic-need signs such as "eat" and "drink". The children benefit by learning to communicate their feelings when they cannot find words, and by learning that communication takes place in many different ways.
